Share of Energy Consumption Coming from Renewable Sources
Quebec ranked second out of 12 jurisdictions according to the latest common year of data in 2020. The share of renewable sources in energy consumed has shown an upward trend between 1996 and 2021 for the majority of jurisdictions. Only New Zealand and Canada did not see this share increase during the period studied. Quebec is well-positioned with the second highest level of renewable energy consumed after Iceland.
