Public and Private R&D Expenditures
Quebec ranked 7th out of 12 jurisdictions in the latest common year data in 2019. Expenditures on R&D, both public and private, exhibit two distinct trends. For all jurisdictions except France, a slight upward trend is observed over the study period. For France, a stable trend is observed between 1988 and 2021. Quebec has seen a downward trend in its R&D expenditures since 2006 but still remains within the average of the studied jurisdictions.
