Low-income earners, by LIM-60 (Low Income Measure 60%)

Low-income earners, by LIM-60 (Low Income Measure 60%)

The Low Income Measure 60 (LIM-60) refers to the current threshold of 60% of median household income as a way of defining the poverty line, whereas the LIM refers to a threshold of 50% of median household income, below which households cannot meet their basic needs.

Rather than a single poverty line to be crossed, combining the LIM-60 with the LIM would establish two lines, which together establish zones of poverty and vulnerability that must be taken into account in the fight against inequality and poverty.
